These drifts are forged from solid 1.25'' 4140 round bar. 

The drifts can be used to make anything from small hammers and hammer making tools, all the way up to 6lb sledge hammers.  

They're about 18'' long.

4140 is an oil hardening steel, do not cool this drift off in water. If it gets too hot, wait until any colour disappears, than cool it off .
Intended for work with a striker, not recommended for power hammer use. 

Perfect for someone who wants to maker hammers, but doesn't want to forge 4140 by hand.
